hi everyone!

my name is raymond sison and i am a first generation filipino-american. growing up, i struggled to fit into spaces that never really reflected me. fashion design has been one of my favorite ways to express and affirm my identity. i integrate handwoven textiles from ilocos norte, philippines and draw from a range of influences including american streetwear, high-end fashion, and filipino culture. i do this to offer the most authentic version of myself. and you don’t even have to be filipino to relate. the journey of loving yourself is a universal experience. i named this brand alegría after my late lola (grandma). her name means joy. these pieces are a love letter to her and the community who has made me who i am.
